Aluminium, vinyl prints A3, dentures

The group exhibition ”Care and Value” is shown at Whose Museum in Malmö 4th of Nov-18th of Dec 2022. I am showing aluminum sculpture, and vinyl prints, also dentures I made as work samples when I was studying to become a dental technologist. The prints are of photos from the dental laboratory where I worked when I started to study at the Royal Institute of Art. 

The sculpture and installation was a commission for the project Care and Value, initiated by Jenny Richards and Gunilla Lundahl. Care and value is a collaborative project for workers within the fields of art and care. The exhibition in Malmö opened in the context of the Workers film festival. 

For me the work with this installation was in line with looking back at a specific time in my life, which I have been revisiting the last years in the context of my art practice. It is within the same theme as using therapy in my art. As a matter of fact I revisit the time when I first went into psychotherapy. And also studied art at preparatory art school, making sculpture, something I later left for dental technology and later for performance. I wanted to make a sculpture again through revisiting dental technology.

Commission for With weary backs and hearts with room for more, about Care and Value, exhibition at Konsthall C, Hökarängen Stockholm, May-August 2022. At the opening me and Niklas Wennström (double bass) performed my songs as Bryggan Duo.
