Display for Live PerformanceThe term appeared first time for a performance about research in Vienna in 2011. Since then it has been tried out in different contexts, with and without performances involved. The Structure is a display for a live performance. It is a box for performing inside. If you stand inside the box and perform to the audience, the square opening in the box will frame the upper part of your body. Like this you can frame what you want the audience to see in your live performance. It is as if you are being filmed by a camera but it is live. It is a display for a live performance. It is a live close up for the audience to look at. You can frame what you want the audience to see. The installation from 2015 is inspired by Rober Morris’ and Carolee Schnemann’s performance SITE. What does it mean to cover certain parts of your body when you perform? The installation is an ongoing research which Anna Kinbom started in 2011 at the Arts Academy in Vienna. Vad vill du visa i öppningen i tyget? |
